Main Beach Committee


          One of the most used areas of Lake Doster is the Main Beach area located along Midlakes Blvd. The Main Beach Committee (“Committee”) is responsible for maintenance and periodic upgrades, of this wonderful resource.  Maintaining and improving this resource for the LDLA Membership’s ongoing use is not without expense. Therefore, no later than October 1st of each year, the Committee will submit a proposed budget for the upcoming year. The proposal will include routine expenses as well as proposed upgrades to the area. A competitive bidding process will be used and the final approval of any contract or expense will remain with the LDLA Board of Directors (“Board”).       


I. Spring Clean-Up

           Annually, the Committee will coordinate volunteers to remove any winter debris and prepare the area ready for the summer season’s use.


II. Beach Rules

          Periodically, the beach rules will be reviewed and may be updated. Proposed changes must be presented to the Board for approval and adoption at their discretion. If approved, the updated version will be published by the Board via the LDLA web site. (


III. Master Plan

          The Committee will continue its efforts for an overall Master Plan, including projected expenses and capital improvement costs.  The competitive bidding process shall be reflected in the final proposal.  Upon Plan completion, the written document shall be presented to the Board for consideration and approval. 


IV. Reporting Status

          The Committee will report to the LDLA Board, and specifically to the Board Member designated as the Director of Lake Operations.
